How to add opt-in form to Wordpress blog

I have had a lot of people ask me how to add their opt-in form to their Wordpress blog lately. I know to some peole this can seem like a daunting task but it’s really not that hard at all.

1] Login to your backoffice of whatever autoresponder you use. [I use TrafficWave because of the extra benefits and features.] You will then choose whatever campaign you want people to sign up for. For an example I use TEProfits. You will then look for [create capture pages] click there and a new page will pop up. You then want to click on [generate capture page form]. You will then see the code that you can use to copy and paste into your Wordpress blog.

2] After you have copied your code for your autoresponder go to your Wordpress blog backoffice and under appearance on the left hand side you will see widgets. Click that and it will open up a new page that will show you alot of cool widgets that you can apply. The one you are looking for though is the one that says [text] click that. Now a box will open up and that is where you will put your code in. Above the box you will have a title, you can put in info on why people should sign up there.

3]After that is done you will have options on where to place your opt-in form. You want to have it located at or near the top where people do not have to scroll too far down. Then press save and check to see if it appears as you like. You can always go back and tweak it following the same steps.

I hope this helps and if you want to learn about more cool things you can do with your opt-in form and other features just use the skype button on the right to send me a message.

Basic Affiliate Marketing

When you’re just getting starting in Affiliate Marketing, one of the most important things you need to learn about is traffic – specifically what it is and how to get it.

Why?

Because although it’s become somewhat of a cliche these days, the truth is, “the money is in the list” – but that means YOUR list, not the list of the people whose products you’re selling – at least not if you want to be successful.

Here’s why.  As an affiliate, your job is to find people who want to buy the products you’re promoting, right?  So to do that, you need to write an ad (or hire a copywriter to write it for you), and send people to a Website where they can buy the product.

BUT – there’s a serious problem with using this method.  Do you see what it is?

Anywhere from 60 to 95% of the people you send to the sales page probably aren’t going to buy the first time.

1. Most people want to be certain that they’re making the right decision, so they usually need to see or hear from you between 5 to 12 times before making a buying decision.

2. If you’re paying for the ad and sending people to the seller’s Website, the ones who don’t buy disappear forever. (And neither you nor the seller will benefit.)

3. Of those who do buy, if you’re only sending them to the sales page, YOU still lose them forever because you have no way of knowing who they are.

Here’s the solution:

1. Write your ad and send prospects to a well-written squeeze page – YOUR squeeze page. (A squeeze page is a single page Website that has one purpose – to convince prospects to give you their contact information.  Squeeze pages should be simple – no flash, no links, and if you use a graphic or photo, keep it simple and make sure it relates to the purpose of the page.  How do you convince prospects to give you their contact information?  By giving them information that is what they’re expecting to find and that’s useful to them.)

You can create your own squeezepages free by clicking here

2. Offer them an incentive to give you their contact information. (This could be a free report, a free newsletter, an audio or video product – just make sure it’s related to the niche or affiliate product.)

3. After they’ve opted in to your autoresponder, send them to your affiliate sales page.

4. Follow up with them on a regular basis – mixing good information, free bonuses from time to time and additional affiliate products.

Lather, rinse, repeat. (Once you’re making money from your first affiliate product, move on to the next and then the next and the next.)

The best thing about this is that you can set most of it up on your autoresponder, so you turn it into a “system” and it runs “almost” on autopilot.  (There is NO SUCH THING as a business that runs 100% on autopilot – and don’t believe anyone who tells you differently.)  Any business – real business – takes work and effort.  But by setting this system up this way, your autoresponder does the majority of the work, and you will only need to do simple updates and make sure you keep fresh information flowing.

How Retweeting Can Help Your Site

Anywhere you go anymore online you find a retweet link. If you have ever wondered how to do this for your site today is your lucky day!

This simple free tool is available at retweetlink.com

If people find your site or blog interesting enough all they have to do is click a link to have it retweeted to their followers, which can have a huge viral effect. I’m also using it in all my trafficwave autoresponder letters. You can test it for yourself below.

Pages I use for Traffic Exchange Profits

If you go into your TEP back office go to where your splash and capture pages are. The page I use is the very last one under capture pages. That’s given me some pretty good results in the traffic exchanges.

I’ve also been using the TW video capture page, which you should find by going to your Trafficwave  back office and look under videos. It’ll walk you through how to set that up.  Should take you about 10 or 15 minutes and I’ve been getting great results with that.

If you’re already using the trafficwave video capture page and getting subscribers but they are at the end of receiving letters.  What you want to do then is transfer those subscribers to your TEP letter series. And here’s how to do that.

Log into your TW backoffice then go to autoresponder campaigns. Then click on  your video capture page campaign, then go to subscribers, and then manage subscribers. You will then see a button that says show this group and you will see a list of your subscribers. In the middle section  it will tell you what letter that they are getting right now.

If they have already received all their letters then you want to check the box next to their name, then you want to go to where it says transfer copy and click that button. You want the drop-down box to say transfer and need the campaign drop-down box to say TEP letter’s. Click the box that says start automated letter series and then submit.

That’s all there is to it those people now will start receiving your TEP letter’s.
