Does Your Autoresponder Pay You?

Ready To Build Your Own Business

Don’t Fool Yourself

Although the Internet is an amazing tool, it owns no money. When someone tells you that you can put up a website and it will “suck money from the Internet like a giant vacuum on steroids”… they’re hoping to fool you into forgetting that money doesn’t come from the Internet. Money comes from people.Dishonest people tell the truth most of the time, but honest people don’t lie. If someone tells you they can guarantee you’ll make a million dollars in six months… you know they’re lying, don’t you? So why bother to believe anything else they tell you? Honest people don’t lie.You can make money honestly… or you can make money dishonestly… but you can’t build a successful business on dishonesty. Don’t fool yourself. You can’t build a successful business in a few weeks or a few months. It takes time to build a
highly profitable business. During that time, everything you say will have to stand the test of honesty. Don’t lie, don’t exaggerate, don’t stretch the truth, and don’t promote a website that isn’t 100% honest.

Honesty, integrity, and providing a valuable product and/or service are the foundation of every successful business so be proud of your business and Stop Being A Victim

Filling Out Forms the Easy Way

I know when I first started I hated having to type in the same information over and over again. So I started looking around for some type of automatic form filler. I kept seeing roboform and I’m sure they have a great product but I knew there had to be something that could accomplish the same thing for free. That’s when I found InformEnter.

If you use Firefox this is simply a addon that InFormEnter adds a small, clickable icon next to every input field in a web form, from where you can select the item to be inserted – no typing required. You can configure it to display your frequently used information such as name, email, address…

This saved me a lot of time and I’m sure you can benefit from it also, especially if you use the traffic exchanges.

Little Known Secret

If you’ve ever visited a website and put in your name and email address into a form and then clicked submit and you were whisked away to another page this is how they do it.

If you’re using the TrafficWave autoresponder like I do you can send people to any page or website you want after they fill out your form and after they click the confirmation link in their email.

Here is a example of what your capture page form code looks like.

<!– BEGIN TrafficWave.net AutoResponder Capture Form – BUILD 100609–>
<form method=”POST” action=”http://www.trafficwave.net/cgi-bin/autoresp/inforeq.cgi”>
<input type=hidden name=”trwvid” value=”derek13″><input type=hidden name=”series” value=”funnel”>
<input type=hidden name=”subscrLandingURL” value=”"><input type=hidden name=”confirmLandingURL” value=”">
<table style=”width:250px;border-style: none;”><tr><td width=25% >Name</td><td ><input id=”da_name” name=”da_name” type=text style=”width: 100%”></td></tr> <tr><td width=25% >Email</td><td ><input id=”da_email” name=”da_email” type=text style=”width: 100%”></td></tr> <tr><td  colspan=2><input type=submit value=”Submit”></td></tr></table></form>
<!– END TrafficWave.net AR Capture Form – BUILD 100609–>

Where you find “subscrLandingURL” value=”" you can put in whatever page or website you want people to go to after they put in their name and email address. You insert it in between the parentheses after value= so it will now look like this “subscrLandingURL” value=”yoursitegoeshere”

The same thing can be done with “confirmLandingURL” value=”yoursitegoeshere” this will take them to whatever page you want after they confirm. If you have any questions or need any help with this just contact me and I will be more than happy to help.

Working With a Budget

You’ve heard the old saying it takes money to make money. Well it’s a old saying for a reason. It’s true! Now I know that may not be what you want to hear but if you want to start any business it takes money. Again people have been brainwashed to believe that the internet is different, that you can make money for free. That goes against all the common sense you have acquired from all of your years.

The good news is your business costs are quite smaller than if you were to run a brick and mortar business. People will say I want to start making money online but won’t or don’t have the money to put into it.

Well if you wanted to own a bar but didn’t spend any money to buy the beer and liquor to sell to your customers how much money do you think you would make. This is the same thing, nothing changes just because you are on the internet.

If you don’t have a monthly budget for your business or unwilling to spend money you should look for another line of work, it’s that simple. With that being said your budget does not have to be in the hundreds or thousands but you do need to think about what you can afford to put towards your business each month and stick to it.

Consistency is the key! Don’t waver from this because advertising is the lifeline to any business. You wouldn’t turn off your open sign to save on electricity!

A mistake people make is that they think they somehow will become rich overnight. Unless you hit the lottery this isn’t going to happen. It’s a business and any business takes time to grow. I’ve seen many people give up after just a couple of weeks when they don’t see money pouring in. Again just because this is the internet the basic rules of business don’t change.

Putting a Opt-in Box in FaceBook

If you have ever visited someone on FaceBook  and wondered how they were able to put in a opt-in box on their profile page, this will show you how.

It really is simpler than you think. Here is the link that you will need to use. http://apps.facebook.com/profile_html/

For an example of how I use it you can go here http://www.facebook.com/mikeerwin13 it will be on the left hand side.  Don’t forget to add me as a friend.

You can simply type in any information about your product or opportunity at the top then add your autoresponder code. I use TrafficWave as it’s the best in the business and also the best price but it will also work with any autoresponder.

If you’re using TrafficWave you will go to your backoffice and find whatever campaign you want to work with. You then will go to the tab that says capture pages/forms and click capture forms. You will then scroll down to where it says html source code. You copy that and paste it in the spot below what you have written in your FaceBook box and you’re done.
