Building Credits

When I first started using the Traffic Exchanges I would get so disappointed about having to start over the next day with no credits. It just seemed like I was fighting a fire that would never go out. Surf all day, assign all the credits, then they would all be gone by the next day.

Well after a while of doing this I decided I would start stacking my credits. I did this until I reached 1,000 in each exchange, then I assigned them all. I found out that usually 1,000 credits will last you a week in each exchange. By knowing this and the fact that it takes me 1 hour to get 200 credits per exchange. I know I have to surf 5 exchanges at a time for 5 hours to reach 1,000 credits per week. Now I don’t have to surf everyday, I know I need 5 hours sometime that week to replenish my credit supply.  By being upgraded my surf ratio is better, that’s where your budget comes in.

I have even taken this a step further by assigning them monthly.  Based on the stats I now assign 4,000 credits to each of my 10 exchanges each month and it takes me 20 hours of surfing within that month to be able to replenish my supply. So you see I no longer have to surf everyday, if I want to take a couple of days off  I can and my sites are still being seen. As long as I get my 20 hours in that month everything runs on autopilot.

Budget

You must have a budget. Sure there are people out there that will tell you that you can make money for free. If that’s true why is everybody still working their days jobs.

Once I was online for awhile I would see the same people selling a different program every week promising the same thing. My question is if the program is so good why didn’t you stick with the first program and if you are making all the money you say you are and you don’t have to do anything to make it why are you sending me emails. lol

The bottom line is people that are making money start with a budget to build their business. I was as guilty as anybody in trying to do everything for free when I started out. Let me say that you are spinning your wheels if you go this route. You will get discouraged from the lack of results and most likely quit in 2 to 3 months. That’s what happens to 93% of the people that try to build a online business. Let’s face it if free advertising worked there wouldn’t be a need for paid advertising.

You need to sit down and figure out what you can comfortably afford to put toward your business without affecting your current bills and you need to be able to do have that amount for 6-12 months to give your business time to grow and then start paying for itself. The good news is you can start your online business for the same amount that it would cost you just to pay the electric bill in a brick and mortar business!

There are 4 essential parts of an internet business.

Market -> Product -> Website -> Traffic

There are 4 parts to the sales process….

1. You need a product (physical or digital that solves a problem) We have that with the OBA book.

2. A market who is interested in that product (a group of people with a common interest and a need/want eg. surfers want more traffic!)

3. An attractive offer (that is right for your market) we are offering a free report.

4. Delivery of the product (fulfill the order via website or postage) OBA is automatically delivered.

You take away any one of these parts and you’re not going to be in business very long.

However, there is a special formula to make these pieces work together for profit.

** You need the right market
** You need the right product
** You need the right time

Just think of it like fishing.
Go to the wrong place and the fish won’t bite.
Use the wrong bait..the fish won’t bite.
Go at the wrong time….no fish!

Whatever you do..don’t be trying to sell diet pills to guys going bald…that’s the wrong offer to the wrong market.

We can’t control time but we can control people’s emotions and impulses to a certain extent.

Direct marketing is all about getting prospects to “act now” or take some type of action…either try your product or buy it.

And that brings me to another important point.

Action is needed by you, the marketer to get things done.

The reason I am successful is because I treat this like it’s my business and I go to work everyday to build it.

That’s the formula for marketing success.
